DISTRICT IN GENERAL:
The District Sirsa which was the part of
Hisar Distt. has been converted as District Sirsa w.e.f. 26.09.1975. It is located in the western part of
Haryana. It is bounded by the State of
The climate of the district is extreme
and aride. It is very hot in summer and
cold in winter. The rainfall in the district is uncertain and scanty. The Ghaghar is the only river which has
abundant water during the rainy season, out of total area about 90% area is
under cultivation, District Sirsa is known as “the cotton belt of Haryana”.

INDUSTRIES:
There are
many type of industries in the district which are engaged in the manufacturing
of various items such as Seed Processing, Wrapping Papers, Milk Chilling, Rice
Shelling, Chemicals, Iron and Steel Fabrication, Agriculture Implements,
Leather Good, Hard and Straw Board etc.
The main
resource of the district is agro products. The more details about the existing industries
which are registered with the District Industries Centre, Sirsa (Industries

EXPORTING
UNITS:
In the
district, there are two exporting units namely HSF Food Pro. Tech Pvt. Ltd.
Sirsa and Namdhari Rice and General Mills, Village Jiwan Nagar (Rania). They export their products i.e. Paddy
Parboiling and Drier Plants and Sella Rice to the Countries namely

Minister Rozgar Youjana is Centrally sponsored scheme and implemented on
INDUSTRIAL ESTATE / INFRASTRUCTURE:
INTEGRATED INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT CENTRE(IIDC)
IIDC is centrally sponsored scheme for
development of tiny and SSI units in most backward area of the country. The HSIDC has authorised for development of
this scheme as project work for setting up of units in this area. All the infrastructure facilities have been
developed by the HSIDC upto now. The

The rate of the plot Rs.600/- per
Sq.Yard has been fixed by the HSIDC for allotment of the above said plots. About 20 plots have been allotted to the
various entrepreneurs. HSIDC also
provide the 20% rebate on the rate of plots to the entrepreneurs if they run
their units on the stipulated period as per norm of HSIDC.
UDYOG KUNJ AT BHAUDIN:
Udyog Kunj at Village Bhaudin is
situated on the National Highway No.10 away from the
INDUSTRIAL ESTATE HUDA:
The industrial estates/areas are developed
by the Haryana Urban Development Authority at Sirsa, Dabwali and

SMALL AND MEDIUM ENTERPRISES RENEWAL FUND SOCIETY OF
HARYANA (SMERFH):
SMERFH is a society which is registered
under Society Registration Act. The aim
of society is to built up competitive strength technology upgradation and
quality improvement to enhance competitiveness of Small and Medium
Entrepreneurs to withstand emerging pressure and ensure sustained growth and
enable them to complete globally. This
scheme is adopted w.e.f. 15.11.1999 by the State Government in pursuance of
Industrial Policy, 1999. To improve the
SME sector following package of incentives shall be provided under SMERFH i.e.
to acquire ISO-9000 certification, reimbursement of training expenses &
duty charges testing equipment subsidy, interest subsidy under modernization
programme etc. Efforts are being made to
get benefited in this scheme.
